The news came as a shock. I was young, full of ambition, and eager to make a difference in the world. But cancer didn’t care about my plans. It was an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and the prognosis wasn’t good. The treatment would be intense, and the road ahead was uncertain.

As I sat in the doctor’s office, trying to process what this meant for my future, I realized that I had two choices: I could either let this diagnosis define me, or I could fight back with everything I had. I chose to fight.
